Former aristocratic residence Kempen

The former aristocratic residence is one of around 400 smaller manors and manor houses on the Lower Rhine. The historic house with a modern ambience has a total of ten rooms. The garden measures 3,000 square meters with its own forest, French boxwood formations, orchards and an avenue of pollarded willows. A wide moat with drawbridge surrounds the old moated castle.

The owner of the more than 700-year-old house has lovingly and carefully restored the exterior and interior. The special feature of the location, in addition to the tastefully decorated outside area, is the cool white style inside the house. The rooms, including almost all the floors, are designed in a radiant white. During the restoration of the listed building, the classic clay plaster with straw was used for the interior, with reed fabric serving as the plaster base. This was followed by the application of clay topcoat plaster fine 06, a single-layer thin coat plaster. The surface was finished with YOSIMA clay designer plaster. A wall design that is free from pigments, solvents and dyes. The YOSIMA range is available in a total of 146 different earth tones. A bright white shade was used for the parquet salon on the first floor, which fits in perfectly with the cool-white look concept. Today, the premises are available for hire and many well-known companies have already used the moated castle as a backdrop for image and video productions.
