Storage
Storage in unopened containers is possible for two years if kept dry and cool (protected from frost!). Reseal opened containers tightly and use them up as quickly as possible. Only work directly from the container if it will be completely used immediately; otherwise, decant the product and process it from a separate container.
Preparation
Mix thoroughly, usually without dilution. For primers, the addition of up to 5 % water is possible. Suitable especially for THE RED (and, if necessary, also for THE YELLOW) are mixing paddles such as the Collomix LX 90 S mixer (Item No. 40950-000) or the Pajarito mixer with two mixing discs 10 × 50 cm (Item No. 89429), as well as a sufficiently powerful drill/cordless drill. Towards the end of the permissible storage time, build-up on the bottom of the bucket cannot be ruled out; this can be removed with the mixing paddle.
Substrate
The substrate must be stable, firm and clean. Substrate temperature 5 – 25 °C. Remove old, poorly adhering coatings, wash off watersoluble coatings. Brush off sandy plasters and wash. Prepare heavily sanding substrates with ClayTec deep penetrating primer and stabiliser. Fresh gypsum plaster, lime or cement plasters must be at least 10 days old and dry. Pronounced alkaline substrates such as fresh concrete surfaces with sintered skin must be professionally fluorinated (neutralised) and formwork oil residues washed off. ClayTec primers have no strengthening or blocking effect.
Drying
A subsequent application is only possible after complete drying, at the earliest after 48 hours. Drying depends on temperature and humidity.
