Easy procurement
A significant proportion of soils worldwide contain clay, making it an abundantly available natural raw material. At ClayTec, no dedicated pits are excavated to source our clay. The excavated clay we use is generated in other extraction activities and, without our use, would otherwise be disposed of.

The clay and the majority of the other raw materials used in our products are sourced from the regions surrounding our respective production sites. Transport distances are often only a few kilometers. This supports resilient supply chains while reducing the energy required for transportation.

Simple supply chains
Our raw material can be used directly as a building material. Many of our products consist of only a few components, primarily or entirely clay, sand, and natural additives such as straw. Production is based on straightforward mixing processes and does not require chemical additives. This simplicity also contributes to reliable supply, including during challenging periods such as the COVID-19 pandemic or geopolitical crises.
