Surface reinforcement for Clay adhesive and reinforcing mortar and all clay plasters. ClayTec Glass mesh 112 fire protect is a gauze made made from glass silk yarn/roving, finished with special fire-protection treatment. It has high tensile strength, is very fine, and is particularly easy to work with. Due to its building material class A2, non-combustible, this mesh is suitable for all drywall wall constructions with fire protection requirements.

Application
Used as surface reinforcement for planking and lining systems made
of clay building boards, for example ClayTec Clayboard heavy, item No. 09.014 and 09.015.
Properties
Gauze made made from glass silk yarn/roving, finished with a special
fire-protection treatment. Weight approx. 112 g/m², warp/weft approx. 16/15 threads per 10 cm, mesh size approx. 5.0 x 5.5 mm. Alkali-resistant. Building material class A2, non-combustible.
Delivery Form
On rolls. For surface reinforcement: width 100 cm, length 100 m, ClayTec

Storage
Can be stored for at least three years if kept dry, well-ventilated, and protected against direct sunlight.
Material Requirement
Surface reinforcement: equal to m² plaster surface plus an additional 10-20 % extra for waste and overlapping.
Application Method
The mesh is laid on the mortar while it is still freshly applied and
plastic, and rubbed in with a sponge board or similar. Approx. 10 cm overlap must be provided in areas around joints.
