The Old Ring Kiln in Viersen is ClayTec’s production site from the very beginning. After the restoration of the historic brickyard by the city under the guidance of architect Inge Breidenbach, the company Lehmbau Breidenbach, the original company name, initially moved in as a tenant in 1990. In the following years, the first production facility for clay plaster and other clay building materials gradually took shape. In 2000, an additional production and storage hall was built, and in 2008, a completely new production facility was added. From Viersen, our logistics partners supply retailers. Simultaneously, the production site serves as a pickup location for dealers.

To relieve production in Viersen and Ransbach-Baumbach and better connect the eastern states and northern Germany to the distribution network, ClayTec established the branch office in Egeln near Magdeburg in 2012. Primers, clay coatings, and YOSIMA clay design plaster are produced there. From Egeln, our logistics partners supply retailers. Simultaneously, the production site serves as a pickup location for dealers.

In 2012, the production site moved from Koblenz to Ransbach-Baumbach. Conveniently located – on the A3 halfway between Cologne and Frankfurt – and close to important raw material deposits in the Westerwald, various clay plaster dry products as well as YOSIMA clay design plaster are produced here. From Ransbach-Baumbach, our logistics partners supply retailers. Simultaneously, the production site serves as a pickup location for dealers.

Bächingen an der Brenz is located directly on the state border between Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, offering the potential for a large catchment area. In Bächingen, the production of moist clay products takes place, with clay, sand, and gravel sourced locally from the region to keep the transport routes of raw materials short and efficient. With the new production site in Bächingen, moist clay products reach customers with shorter transport routes and improved infrastructure.
